The 2014 Major League Ultimate Champion D.C. Current are ready to start their run at a repeat, and they need you on board.
Think you have what it takes to compete at the highest level of professional ultimate? Then come out to the Current's open tryouts and combine on February 8, 15 and 22 to see if you have what it takes to play for a champion. As has become a Current tradition, we will get to work at the crack of dawn, so make sure to get your rest the night before!
Here's what you need to know:
The tryout fee will be $50 for preregistration and $60 at the door. The one-time fee INCLUDES both open tryout sessions.
Sunday, February 8 - 5:00-8:00 a.m. - Open tryout
Sunday, February 15 - 5:00-8:00 a.m. - Open tryout
Sunday, February 22 - 5:00-8:00 a.m. - Invite only
Here's what you need:
Turf cleats - no field cleats allowed indoors (The majority of games will be on a turf field, so this is a great investment).
White and dark shirt - preferably with a number so we can easily identify you.
The willingness to work hard.
